I'm a curious person. In the tale of Alice in Wonderland, the Cheshire Cat always intrigued me. Coming and going, it always seemed like he knew what was going on and had something curious to say. I can relate. As time passes between each session, I wonder about what has transpired that is propelling my clients forward or holding them back. This mindset of curiosity helps me think about how systems interplay and then push past that level of understanding to wonder how else they might relate. It's like being a detective. I try to put the pieces of my clients' lives into a curious, yet understandable story. And when I nail it, my clients' make big shifts. It's pretty amazing.
I aspire to live my own joyful, meaningful life, and take action to make it so. When not counseling, coaching, or providing nutrition education, I can be found on a bike, climbing trees, or on the ski slopes with my kid. I love being around my 12 year old daughter and her friends, whether it's building a tree house or teaching them to bake bread. I've run sixteen 1/2 marathons, completed one "STP" (a 200 mile bike ride event from Seattle to Portland), enjoy doing acro yoga, performing dance, and making community magic as a company member of Lucia Neare's Theatrical Wonders. My pre-pandemic goal was to complete my first 1/2 ironman in the Fall of 2020; however, that has been delayed and it will happen.
I want to help others become the happiest, most joyful people they can be, living full lives in true alignment with their values. I wish the best for you in your journey at this point in time. Wherever you find yourself, let there be hope.
With Warmth & Health,
